Highly durable PVCu door double glazing

Constructed with 3-chambers, the profile allows separate drainage and reinforcement. All frames measure 70mm from front to back allowing the replacement of traditional 3" timber frames with the minimum of 'making good' remedial work. The PVCu system is also bevelled to provide a slimmer, more attractive look.

Manufactured to BS 7413, the British Standards for PVCu window extrusions, the profile carries a full 10-year guarantee against discolouration and degradation.

		Internal beading All Visage® doors are internally beaded. This means that the beading that secures the glass into place is located on the inside of the frame and cannot be removed from the outside - helping to make Visage® one of the most secure systems on the market. 		Fully welded frame Some door frames and porches are manufactured with the PVCu lengths mechanically joined. This 'nuts and bolts' method can often lead to the frame being less strong. Water can find its way into joints and extreme temperatures can cause points of weakness. With Visage®, all joints are welded. This means that the window is a homogeneous structure, providing integral strength to the frame. Visage - Door double glazing

		Central deadbolt The robust deadlock has a generous 22.5mm projection, securing the centre of the opening side of the door. Visage - Door double glazing

		Hookbolts The top and bottom hookbolts face inwards, towards the centre of the door preventing it from being jemmied up or down. The hookbolts also have a deep 28mm engagement into the door frame providing a secure hold. Visage - Door double glazing

		Rollercams The rollers smoothly guide the lock into position enabling the hook to secure into place. Just as important, the rollers force the door against the frame providing excellent compression and a weatherproof seal. Visage - Door double glazing

		Stainless steel door lock The Visage® lock is manufactured in stainless steel which means it is highly corrosion resistant. In coastal areas this is of particular benefit because you can rely on the mechanism to provide consistent smooth operation time and time again. The lock is approved by the Association of British Insurers with the components tested on a full friction operation to 100,000 cycles. Visage - Door double glazing

		Dogbolt Whilst many PVCu doors are left vulnerable at the hinge side against jemmy attack, the Visage® door is protected by 2 dogbolts locating into the outer frame. Visage - Door double glazing

		Hinges Three powerful hinges are fitted as standard to withstand both tensile and excessive pressure forces. Visage - Door double glazing

		28mm double-glazing The Visage window holds 28mm double-glazing units offering a generous 20mm air-gap to improve thermal and noise insulation as well as combating condensation. Visage - Door double glazing

		Handles The attractive handles operate and engage the locking system. The Visage® handle is available with lever/lever or lever/pad (teardrop) designs. Visage - Door double glazing

Letterplates

The Visage® door features slimline letterplates. The flap opens to a full 170 degrees and includes a draught-proof brush.

Galvanised steel reinforcement - Visage doors

Galvanised steel reinforcement

In areas deemed necessary, Visage® doors are reinforced with galvanised steel, including both sides of the outer frame. Furthermore, all locking keeps are screwed into reinforcement. As well as giving extra strength in load-bearing situations, the steel reinforcement stops any expansion or contraction problems that may otherwise occur in the future. All Visage® woodgrain products come fully reinforced as standard.

		Corrosion resistant fixings As with all hardware on the Visage® door, even the fixings are guaranteed against corrosion for a full 10 years. The screws are tested for 500 hours in a salt spray chamber to ensure their quality. This is seven times longer than the requirements for BS 7412 - the British Standard for PVCu construction. Weatherproof gaskets

The seal surrounding the frame and double-glazing offers excellent weatherability as well as good sightlines, reducing the 'black-line' effect.
