Before choosing a conservatory
it is always best to check with
your local council to find out if
building regulations approval or
planning permission is required.
As a rough guide, approval is needed
if:
- You live in a listed building
or a conservation area
- You want a solid roof on your
conservatory
- Your house has already been
extended
- The floor area of your conservatory
is to be 30 square metres or more
- You live in Inner London, Scotland,
Northern Ireland or the Channel
Islands.
